This Privacy Notice explains how we will use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website or engage with our company. This policy is prepared in accordance with the provisions of Act 4 of 2013 (Protection of Personal Information Act) 

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register with us via the Contact Us page, ‘Request a Quote’ page,  Make a Booking Form, email us for a specific purpose, voluntarily complete customer surveys, and provide feedback on our services and performance. Website usage is collected using cookies.

How will we use the information we collect about you?

With your consent, we collect information about you to email you with information about our services, products we think may be of interest to you and to respond to your queries or complaints.

When requested, by an existing client, we may share your information with them for purposes of passing on information about your services or products in which they might be interested or need – particularly when these are of a complimentary nature to the services we provide. 

We will not share your information for marketing purposes with any other company.

Marketing

We would like to send you information about our services, products or promotions which may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing you may opt out at any time.

Access to your information and rectification

We want to make sure that your information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information that you think is inaccurate.

Right to restrict processing

If you wish us to restrict the use of your data because you think it is inaccurate but this will take time to validate; you believe our data processing is unlawful but you do not want your data erased; you want us to retain your data in order to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, or; you wish to object to the processing of your data but we have yet to determine whether this is appropriate, please email admin@bdimanagement.co.za 

Automated Decision Making

We do not engage in automated decision making or profiling.

How long will we retain data for?

Information collected is retained for as long as is necessary to provide your with our services and for 6 months after the termination of a contract, or as long as is legislatively mandated, whichever is the longer.

Where you have given consent for a specific marketing purpose we will retain your data until you withdraw your consent.

In respect of queries or complaints we will retain your information for 6 months after the date your query or complaint is received if the matter is straightforward; for 4 years where the nature of your query or complaint is serious requiring a full investigation, or; for seven years is financial recompense is given or legal proceedings invoked.

Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.

Analytics

There is no charge for lodging a complaint.

How we will deal with such a complaint: We will write to you acknowledging receipt of the complaint. After appropriate investigation, the Managing Director will write to you as soon as practicable after a decision has been reached, outlining the decision and the reasons for reaching it.
